About the game
Get ready for a clash of wits and bluffing in Guards versus Thieves, a tactical and asymmetric card game tailor-made for two players. Here, the tension is palpable and every move counts! One of you takes on the role of the Master Thief, leading a gang of cunning pickpockets, while the other becomes the Police Chief, the vigilant guardian of the city, at the head of their brave Guards.

Each round, three strategic locations are revealed. The gameplay is simple, but the implications are profound: both the Master Thief and the Police Chief secretly assign one card to each of these locations. For a robbery to be successful, the Thief must match the location's level. If successful, the Master Thief scores points equal to the location's level. However, if a Police card of the same level is played at the location, the Thief is caught red-handed, and the Police Chief scores points, gaining the value of the arrested Thief.

The game gets even spicier with special effect cards that can turn the tables in an instant. They can alter the levels of cops and thieves, swap already assigned cards, or even sabotage planned actions. The essence of Guards versus Thieves lies in managing your squad and resources, anticipating your opponent's intentions, and using cunning, bluffing, and clever tactics to gain the upper hand. With easy-to-learn rules, the game focuses on intense mind games, quick decisions, and constant interaction, offering tactical depth and strategic rewards for both sides.
