About the game
In Harmonies, you'll dive into creating lush landscapes, strategically placing colored tokens to form perfect habitats for your critters. The goal is simple, yet the strategy is deep: accumulate as many points as possible by fitting your animals into the right habitats. Each round begins with choosing a set of three terrain tokens from a central area, which you'll then place on your personal board. Optionally, you can pick an Animal card from the five available or even place an animal cube from your cards onto patterns you've already completed on your board. But be careful, you can only hold up to four cards! After your turn, the central area is refilled with new tokens and Animal cards. The placement of terrain tokens is crucial and depends on the objectives of your Animal cards and the scoring rules for each terrain type (mountain, field, forest, etc.). For instance, mountains score higher the more they are stacked, but only count if they are adjacent to another mountain. If you manage to place all cubes from an Animal card, it's set aside, and you can draw a new one. Final card scoring is based on the highest number not covered by a cube. The game ends when there are no more tokens to refill the central area or when a player has two or fewer empty spaces on their board. Everyone plays an equal number of turns, and the player with the most points wins! For an even richer experience, Nature's Spirit cards can be added, offering ongoing effects and an extra layer of strategy.
