About the game

What you do in a play session

Heat: Legends drops in like the turbo boost the racing world of Heat – Pedal to the Metal has been waiting for. The expansion reintroduces the six extra cars from the original expansion, but now they arrive as automated drivers – the Legends. Don’t mistake them for mere filler pieces; each Legend comes with its own AI, allowing it to exploit drafting, create slipstreams, carve corners with laser‑like precision, and unleash brand‑new abilities that can flip the race on any lap. The track becomes a living arena where positioning strategy and timing of Power‑Ups grow even more critical.

The deck adds 36 Legend cards, 36 Power‑Up cards, 12 Rival cards and 21 Sponsorship cards, plus a rule booklet that explains multiple difficulty settings. You can dial the Legends from friendly opponents for newbies up to ruthless rivals for seasoned players craving a real test.

All components are beautifully illustrated with clear icons, making integration with the base game seamless. New Power‑Ups such as “Turbo Surge” or “Slipstream Master” give human players fresh tactical tools to outmaneuver the Legends. Sponsorship cards introduce long‑term goals, encouraging resource collection across several races.

Overall, the game feels faster and more unpredictable while preserving the smooth, simultaneous‑action turn system that defines Heat. If you already love the quick‑fire pace of the base game and want to feel the pressure of racing against opponents that actually think behind the wheel, Heat: Legends delivers exactly that, with a light rule weight (2.5/5) and about 60‑minute playtime – perfect for a game night.
