If you're already into the worm-grabbing madness of Heckmeck am Bratwurmeck (aka Pickomino), get ready for even more chaos and fun! Heckmeck Extrawurm is that expansion that injects extra oomph into the base game, adding four cute animal meeples (which you get when you grab certain worm portions, by the way!), an extra die to make things more chaotic, and two new barbecue worm portions for some variety. Oh, and it also comes with seven victory point tokens, the famous 'brat worms', for you to hoard.
The cool thing is that these animal meeples aren't just for show. Each one grants you a special power, a unique ability that can turn the game in your favor. Imagine having a critter that helps you re-roll, or another that gives you a scoring bonus? That's where strategy really comes into play, mixing the luck of the dice roll with the decision of when and how to use these abilities.
With the addition of the extra die, the odds of higher or lower rolls shift a bit, and the new worm portions bring fresh challenges. This expansion is perfect for those who want to add a little extra spice to the original recipe without overcomplicating things. It's the same 'push your luck' vibe we love, but with new layers of decision-making and a cooler look with the meeples. If you want more variety and a strategic touch without losing the lightheartedness, this expansion is for you. It's Heckmeck, but with more critters and more excitement!

Do I need the Heckmeck am Bratwurmeck base game to play?
Absolutely! Heckmeck Extrawurm is an expansion, so it adds content to the base game. You need the base game to use these new components and rules.
How many players does this expansion support?
The expansion doesn't change the player count of the base game. Heckmeck am Bratwurmeck is already for 2 to 7 players, and the expansion maintains that count.
Does the expansion make the game more complicated?
It adds a bit more depth with the meeple powers, but the core 'push your luck' and dice-rolling mechanic remains very accessible. It doesn't significantly change the overall complexity.
What new components come in the box?
You get four animal meeples with special abilities, an additional die, two new worm portions, and seven victory point tokens (brat worms).
Is this expansion good for beginners?
If you've already played the base game and enjoyed it, yes! It adds extra flavor without overcomplicating things. For someone who has never played, I recommend starting with the base game first.
How much playtime does it add?
The expansion doesn't significantly increase the playtime. Games remain quick, around 20 to 30 minutes, as the core mechanic is very fast-paced.
