About the game

What you do in a play session

Hell's Highway: Operation Market Garden is an operational-level wargame simulating the largest airborne campaign of World War II. In September 1944, three Allied airborne divisions dropped behind German lines in Holland to seize bridges and roads, holding them until British ground forces could break through. The game captures the tension and chaos of the operation, from the XXX Corps' sluggish advance along the congested highway to the desperate fighting in Arnhem. With three scenarios and multiple deployment options, you can replay the battle with historical hindsight or experience the confusion firsthand. The game features two massive maps (20x28 inches each), 520 counters, and a detailed combat system. Be ready for epic sessions ranging from 5 to 25 hours, depending on the scenario.
