Picture this: Genghis Khan is no longer the young conqueror he once was, and old age has caught up with the great leader. The Mongol Empire is in an uproar because it's time to decide who will inherit the throne. That's where you come in! As one of the heirs, your mission is to prove you have the grit and cunning necessary to be the next Khan. But talk is cheap; you need concrete results, which means marching across Asia, conquering strategic cities, and looting valuable treasures.
The game functions as a race for prestige. To win the favor of the Kurultai council and secure the deciding votes, you'll need two things: expensive gifts (the treasures you've plundered) and proof that you can control the empire's three main regions using your yurts.
During the game, you'll manage actions on your individual board, deciding whether to move through provinces to collect tributes, attack cities, or invest in upgrading your own capabilities. The dynamics are intense because you must plan your routes with precision and, more importantly, keep a close eye on what the other heirs are up to. If you take too long to reach a city, someone else might snag the treasure; if you ignore regional influence, you could lose precious votes.
It's a game of positioning, resource management, and a good deal of political cunning. Once the council is filled, the vote count reveals who will be the new sovereign. Do you have the strategic vision to dominate Asia and take the throne, or will you be just another forgotten heir in history?
