HeroClix is a tactical combat miniatures game that puts you in command of iconic heroes and villains from your favorite comics, movies, and TV shows. Imagine pitting Batman against Iron Man in an epic duel! The game utilizes the ingenious 'Combat Dial' system, initially popularized in the Mage Knight miniatures game. What's this dial, you ask? Well, HeroClix miniatures' bases feature a rotating dial that displays the character's combat values, powers, and abilities. As your hero (or villain!) takes damage, you turn the dial, and the character's stats change, reflecting battle wear or even a rage boost that makes them more dangerous! It's super intuitive and adds incredible dynamism to the game. Some characters might switch from ranged to close-quarters combat styles, while others might become more aggressive or even steal opponent's energy. Instead of measuring distances, HeroClix uses gridded maps, which makes movement and positioning much clearer. And of course, as a good combat game, dice rolling is essential to resolve actions. Launched in 2002, HeroClix boasts an absurd number of available characters, so it's highly likely your favorite already has a miniature ready for battle!
