About the game

What you do in a play session

Hexian is a 2-player board game that channels the spirit of classic arcade space shooters. Picture an 80s arcade cabinet, but with cards and strategic gameplay. The board is a 6x4 grid filled with invading alien ships, plus a flying saucer that moves right each turn. Each player controls their own defender ship and draws 4 action cards per turn. These cards let you move side-to-side, activate shields, fire lasers, deploy decoys, or even mess with your opponent—yes, you can push their ship away! The game ends when the last alien ship is destroyed, and the player with the most points (earned by shooting down enemies, each worth different values) wins. Want a challenge? Try to beat your own high score next game!
