About the game
In Iberian Rails, you'll dive into the world of railway expansion on the Iberian Peninsula, where building routes and managing companies is the key to victory. Each round begins with a fierce competition to choose characters that grant special powers, adding an extra layer of strategy and interaction. Who will be the first to grab the Engineer or the feared Mafia? Then, it's time for the railway companies to take action. The player holding the majority of shares in a company becomes its CEO and decides what to do: expand tracks to new cities, openly sell shares for a quick dividend payout, or make a secret sale to surprise rivals. But beware: each company has a limited number of shares and dividend opportunities. Triggering a payout early might give you quick cash to invest elsewhere, but it compromises the company's long-term growth. It's a game of calculated risks, where timing is everything. Some companies start near many cities, others near tourist hubs, and each has its own quirks. Investing in companies with fewer shares might yield faster returns, but those with more tend to grow for longer. And don't forget the characters! They can certainly disrupt any well-laid plans. With 42 cities on the map, including 14 tourist spots, and a double dividend payout at the end, Iberian Rails is a treat for those who enjoy economic games with a train theme and a good dose of speculation. Get ready to build your railway empire and become the wealthiest investor in Spain!
