About the game
What you do in a play session
Prepare to descend even deeper into the nine circles of Hell with this expansion that brings three powerful figures to the base game! Meet Plutus, the god of wealth, who allows you to create customs offices to extort your rivals in drachmas. Imagine charging tolls even in the underworld! Just place one of your Desks on a shield and watch the money roll in with every passage. Then, we have Phlegyas, the ferryman of the River Styx. To summon him, simply ring one of your Bells. He can navigate the circle where you invoked him, allowing you to move souls to empty shields before they descend to lower levels. It's a tactical maneuver that can change the fate of many souls! And, of course, Dante Alighieri himself makes his triumphant entrance, replacing the wooden meeple with a miniature worthy of the poet. This expansion adds 3 miniatures, 2 large cards, and new components like 9 Bells and 8 Desks, plus a QR Code with rules in 11 languages. With Plutus and Phlegyas, you gain new ways to interact with the board and other players, adding an extra layer of economic strategy and tactical play. If you already enjoy the base game and want more options to torment your opponents (or be tormented!), this expansion is a treat. The language dependency is moderate, so it might be good to have some help with translated cards.
