The blend of auctions, bribes, and dexterity challenges (yes, you'll pilot a junk plane blindfolded!) creates laugh-out-loud moments. The tropical theme and simple rules make it great for introducing interactive games. Just don't expect deep strategy – this is all about silly fun with friends.

About the game

What you do in a play session

In Island Hopper, you're entrepreneurs trying to make a living by shipping goods between tropical islands. The catch? Your only seaplane is a flying junkheap – broken instruments, duct-taped windshield, and a compass that works when it feels like it. Each day starts with an auction for the Captain role: the winner controls the plane but can't make their own deliveries. Other players must bribe the Captain to fly to their target islands. Then comes the fun part: the Captain closes their eyes and attempts to 'land' goods in the correct island harbor (yes, it's a dexterity game!). Success means payday for everyone. Failure? Well, at least the seagulls will eat well today. With negotiation, bidding, and a dash of controlled chaos, Island Hopper shines for lighthearted gamers who love interaction and laughter.

Playable but shines at 4+. With 2, you lose some negotiation dynamics.

The 'landing' mechanic needs some finesse, but failed attempts are often funnier than successes!
Minimum recommended age?
Box says 10+, but younger kids can play if they grasp basic auctions.
Good for family play?
Absolutely! Simple rules and light theme – just expect some noise.
How long does a game take?
The 30-45 minute estimate is accurate – gameplay stays snappy.
