About the game
Jams‑Taking places you in the role of a music producer who must assemble the world's greatest rock band in just 30 to 45 minutes. The goal is to hire musicians with the right parts and complete songs to earn points. The game blends negotiation, resource management, and music into a fast-paced experience for 3 to 4 players. Each player starts with artist cards indicating skills (Vocal, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard) and song cards that list the parts needed to complete a track. Money is split into two phases: Scout Money (red and yellow cards) and Raise Money ($100 cards). In the Scout phase, players place bids with Scout Money to determine who can participate in the Raise phase, where they raise bids with Raise Money or take debt. The player with the highest total bid signs an artist, while the second highest signs the other. Artist cards are placed face‑down in front of players, and songs are completed when all required parts are gathered. At the end, the player with the highest completed song sums the points from artist cards and the song, subtracts debt penalties, and converts remaining cash into points. The game requires bidding strategy, risk assessment, and timing, but keeps card mechanics simple and accessible. It’s ideal for fans of card games with a musical theme who want to test negotiation and resource‑management skills in a competitive setting.
