About the game
You know those games that start off chill and then suddenly leave you desperately trying not to lose everything? Well, Papayoo is exactly that! Forget your traditional deck with kings and queens; we're playing by different rules here. The game features five suits: the four classics (hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds) and a fifth, chaotic element called Payoo, which contains cards numbered 1 to 20. The goal is the complete opposite of what you might expect: you want to finish the game with the FEWEST points possible. Collecting cards during the trick-taking rounds will cost you points, and the Payoo suit is especially dangerous due to its high values.

However, the true villain of the story is the 'Papayoo'. Before each hand, a die is rolled to determine which suit will be the 'unlucky' one. The number 7 card of that chosen suit becomes the Papayoo, and if you end up taking it in a trick, brace yourself: that's a whopping 40 negative points! To help you survive this chaos, the game includes a passing mechanic: before the round begins, you can pass a set number of cards from your hand to the player on your left. But watch out—you'll be receiving cards from the player on your right in return. It's a game of risk, quick decisions, and a whole lot of luck. If you enjoy fast-paced card games that offer high player interaction and plenty of laughs (or screams of despair) with your friends, Papayoo is the perfect addition to your next game night!
