About the game

What you do in a play session

Welcome to the playground chaos with Tricky Kids! Here, classmates are trading toys and snacks in a wild kid-economy where value is totally made up. The twist in this trick-taking game is that YOU decide the value of your cards! At the start of each round, you assign values totaling 21 across the cards in your hand. Then, you use those cards to win tricks and collect points. Each round consists of 7 tricks, but the goal is to win strategically, not just frequently. Win a trick? You get a point token, but here's the catch: you always claim the leftmost available token. So, timing is everything! And it's not just about winning. The token values change depending on which suit won the trick, making both when and how you play crucial to victory. The game spans 3 rounds, for a total of 21 tricks. The player with the most points at the end wins! But beware: if the sum of your card values exceeds 21 at the end of a round, say goodbye to your points! You might lose everything you just earned, and possibly points from previous rounds too. To amp up the chaos and fun, there are optional 'Tricky Rule' cards. These change the game each round, like passing your hand, playing with dual-suit cards, or having wacky win conditions. Tricky Kids guarantees laughs and surprises with every play, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats!
