About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for an action-movie-worthy escape with Joker Jailbreak! This solo game uses a standard 52-card deck to challenge you to break out the Joker. Setup is quick: place the Joker in the center, build the jail 'walls' with card stacks, and leave some cards face-up to guide your moves. The goal? Clear a path through one of the four walls for the Joker to escape. Watch out, clearing the corners won't do anything; that rascal can't squeeze through there!
To play, you need to match black cards against red cards of the exact same value. A black 7 can be played on a red 7, or perhaps on a red 5 and a red 2. When you make a play, flip over the cards that were hidden underneath. The game ends if you can no longer make any moves, but victory comes when a wall is completely dismantled. Cards from the 'Remainder' pile can be used to save you from tricky situations, but be warned: the Joker only truly escapes if there are no cards on top of him. Want more challenge? Increase the difficulty by adding cards to the corners; to make it easier, remove them. Joker Jailbreak is a clever and quick pastime for those who enjoy card puzzles and a good solo challenge.
