Get ready for a pirate adventure where cunning and strategy are your greatest weapons! In Jolly & Roger, the infamous Pirate King, Captain 'Red Beard,' has mysteriously vanished after an 'unfortunate rendezvous' with a mermaid. Now, ambitious Pirate Lords eye the throne, but only two managed to remain standing after following the ancient pirate code of emptying a rum cask: the reckless Julienne 'Jolly' Garçon and the eccentric Jack 'Roger' Hummingbird. Who will be the next Pirate King? The 'Double-Boarding' contest will decide!

This is a two-player card game featuring the classic 'I Cut, You Choose' mechanism. Each turn, a player draws five pirate cards and splits them into two sets. The opponent then chooses one of the sets, and the player who split the cards takes the leftover set. With these cards, the goal is to board four merchant ships by adding your matching-colored crew members to your side of the ship. Whoever has the most powerful crew on a ship places one of their captains there, potentially removing the opponent's captain. Additional cards of the same color allow you to steal gold from the ship. After eight rounds, the game ends. Each ship with a captain at the end of the game is captured, yielding bonuses. The pirate with the most gold is crowned the new King!

For those seeking an extra challenge, the expert variant introduces special cards like the Kraken, the Skeleton Pirate, and Tortuga, adding more spice and twists to your naval battles.
