About the game

What you do in a play session

Prepare for an underground adventure worthy of Jules Verne! In "Journey to the Center of the Earth," you and 1 to 3 friends become Professor Lidenbrock, his nephew Axel, and their guide Hans, embarking on an expedition into the planet's interior. The journey is divided into three acts: descending through the Icelandic volcano Snaefells, crossing a mysterious underground ocean, and escaping via an Italian volcano. To progress, you'll use explorer cards to move your characters and equipment cards to overcome obstacles, like difficult terrain or dangerous passages. Hand management is crucial, as your cards dictate your movement options and how you handle challenges. Along the way, discoveries like fossils and valuable treasures will earn fame points, and collecting water can be vital for survival. Each phase presents its own dangers and rewards, from random events on the underground lake to the final race to escape. The player who accumulates the most fame points from their discoveries and treasures will be the grand winner of this epic expedition. Do you have what it takes to lead our heroes to glory and fortune?
