Objective of the Game

In Kanban EV, you step into the shoes of a rookie employee in an electric vehicle (EV) factory, aiming to secure your career. Your mission is to manage suppliers, innovate car parts, and boost production to impress the factory manager, Sandra. The game is a race to achieve the highest level of promotion by earning Production Points (PP). The player with the most PP at the end of the game is declared the winner. Kanban EV is a game of resource and time management, where you must efficiently use the factory's limited supplies and recycling facilities to stay ahead of the competition.

Preparation (Setup)

To set up the game, follow these steps:

1. Place the Game board in the center of the table and the Sandra Reference tile in the designated space.
2. Arrange the Car Parts next to the board, with three types randomly placed in the Recycling spaces.
3. Set up the Parts Vouchers and Books supplies next to the board.
4. Separate the Factory Goals into three stacks and place two from each stack face up on the board, with the rest returned to the box. Add Generic Speech tokens to each Factory Goal.
5. For the Research & Development (R&D) setup, cover the Test track with the appropriate overlay and place the Car Part Value markers and Pace Car on the board.
6. Shuffle the Design tiles and place one in each of the rightmost eight spaces, with the rest in stacks on the left.
7. For the Assembly setup, place one Car of each color in the matching spaces, with another on the yellow plate, and the rest near the board.
8. Shuffle the Demand tiles and place one in each of the two spaces, with the rest in a stack next to the board.
9. Shuffle the Kanban Order cards and place the top card's depicted Car Parts in the warehouses, then place the card at the bottom of the deck.
10. Shuffle the Performance Goal cards and place four face up in the Meeting room, with the rest in a deck next to the board.
11. Choose a Final Goal tile at random and place it in the designated space, with the rest returned to the box.
12. Place the Week marker on space 0 of the Week track and place Sandra at her desk.
13. Shuffle the Award tiles and place three face down above the top space of the training track in each department, with one Generic Speech token on each stack.

The Turn of Jogo

The game is played over a series of rounds, each representing a day of work. Each day consists of two phases: Department Selection and Working.

In the Department Selection Phase, players choose a workstation in a department to work in, with the order of choice determined by the previous day's selection. In the Working Phase, players use their Shifts to complete tasks in their chosen department. The number of Shifts is determined by the workstation, with the possibility of using Banked Shifts to work more, up to a maximum of four Shifts per day. After all players have worked, check for a Meeting or the end of the week, then begin the next day.

Fim de Jogo e Pontuação

The game ends after a certain number of Weeks and Meetings. The player with the most Production Points (PP) is declared the winner. Points are earned through various actions, such as completing tasks, achieving Factory Goals, and scoring in Meetings. At the end of the game, additional points are awarded for Tested Designs and the relative position on training tracks.

• Prioritize tasks that allow you to gain Banked Shifts and Parts Vouchers, as they provide flexibility and resources for future turns.
• Keep an eye on the Factory Goals and aim to achieve them to gain Generic Speech tokens and additional PP.
