Kariba is a card game that blends fun, strategy, and a splash of animal humor. The setting is the African savannah, where every creature is hungry and racing to the watering hole. Each player starts with five cards featuring different animals—elephants, rhinoceroses, ostriches, zebras, mice, and even cats—and must decide which ones to play on the board to dominate the water. The Rock‑Paper‑Scissors mechanic kicks in when at least three cards of the same animal are placed: the stronger animal “frightens” the weaker one, which is then removed from the board and added to the player’s hand. This creates a dominance cycle that makes hand management essential: you need to know when to play your powerful cards and when to hold the weaker ones for the right moment. The game lasts only 15 minutes, making it perfect for a family night or for those with limited time. Beyond its speed, Kariba offers guaranteed laughs—who ever seen a mouse scare an elephant? It’s an unexpected scenario that makes players both laugh and think. The components are simple—a board with numbered spots and a 40‑card deck—but the rule combination creates tense and surprising moments. The game is suitable for children aged 6 and up, but adults who enjoy quick card games with humor will also appreciate it. If you love games that mix light strategy, classic mechanics, and a fun theme, Kariba will surprise you. It’s a title that proves even simple rules can bring a lot of fun and twists.
