About the game
What you do in a play session
Imagine discovering a ship drifting at sea, completely unmanned but with all the crew's belongings still in place. Mystery? Yes. Horror? Absolutely. The Key Celeste is that very ghost ship, arriving as a mini-expansion for Keyflower, bringing a supernatural and strategic twist to your city building experience.
This expansion is compact but significantly alters the game's dynamics. It introduces a unique hexagonal tile (the Key Celeste ship itself) and an oversized grey ghost keyple. The fun starts with the bidding: you must bid to acquire the ship's tile, but the real game-changer is the ghost. The player who controls the ghost gains a strategic 'trolling' power: they can frighten away and replace another player's winning bid, kicking them out and capturing those workers.
Once you capture these workers, they are placed behind your screen and become available for your own use in subsequent turns. Beyond the aggressive interaction, there's the scoring aspect: owning the Key Celeste tile provides points at the end of the game, and if you manage to hold both the ship and the ghost, the reward is even greater.
It's the kind of addition that seems simple on the surface but changes how you perceive the bidding process. Now, no one is truly safe until the turn is over, as a ghost can appear at any moment to hijack a winning move. If you already enjoy Keyflower and want to add more spice and direct player interaction, Key Celeste is the missing piece for your tabletop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Do I need the base game to play?
Yes! Key Celeste is a mini-expansion, so you must own Keyflower for it to work.
What's inside the box?
It's quite simple: one ship hexagonal tile, one oversized ghost keyple, and the rules sheet.
Does it make the game more complex?
It doesn't significantly increase complexity, but it adds a new layer of decision-making during bidding and more player interaction.
How many players is it recommended for?
It works with the same player count as the base game (2 to 6), but it shines most in larger groups where the competition is fiercer.
Is the ghost too powerful?
It's powerful because it allows you to steal workers, but remember that you have to bid for it, so it's never a guarantee.
