Ever wondered how hard it is to save the world and still make it to a family dinner on time? That's the delightful chaos of Kick-Ass: The Board Game. New York City has become a lawless wasteland; the police are either overwhelmed or corrupted, leaving the streets in the hands of criminals. Now, it's up to a group of masked vigilantes (and very improvised ones at that) to clean up the city.
In this cooperative experience, you and your friends step into the boots of heroes trying to thwart the Evil Boss's master plan. But it's not all about punching thugs! The real twist is the balancing act: as you travel through the city's districts fighting crime and performing good deeds, you must desperately prevent your personal life from falling apart. After all, being a hero is great, but losing your job or missing a date has its own consequences.
The game offers a tactical experience where each hero is unique, coming with their own gear and activation cards. You'll manage your hand, roll dice, and resolve icons to win battles. The immersion is cranked up with detailed miniatures representing not only the heroes but also the bosses, mini-bosses, and the hordes of minions infesting the streets. With five different bosses to face, the replayability is high, as each campaign brings new challenges. Get your costume ready (even if it's just cheap lycra), gather your squad, and try not to let your social life crumble while saving the Big Apple!

It's rated as 'Expert', meaning it has some denser rules. If you're used to cooperative games, you'll get it quickly, but total beginners might need a bit more time.
Can I play it solo?
Yes! The game supports 1 to 4 players, so you can take on the cleanup of New York City by yourself if you wish.
How long does a session last?
Expect to spend between 60 and 90 minutes. It's a fair amount of time for the amount of content and combat provided.
Are the miniatures any good?
Yes, they are one of the highlights! The game includes miniatures for heroes, bosses, and minions, making the table look amazing.
Do I need to know the comics to play?
Not at all! While it helps with immersion, the rules and story are clear enough for anyone to enjoy the experience.
Is the game too dependent on dice luck?
There is dice rolling, but hand management and deck construction help mitigate luck, giving players more strategic control.
