About the game
What you do in a play session
King of Tokyo: Halloween, the first Collector Pack for the series, adds two brand‑new monsters – Pumpkin Jack and Boogie Woogie – to the base game. Each monster comes with its own exclusive set of eight Evolution cards, letting the creature mutate into ever‑scarier versions as the game progresses. The expansion also supplies six orange‑and‑black dice engraved with Halloween symbols and twelve new Power cards of the Costume type. These cards grant strong effects but can be ripped off you by any monster that rolls three claws, adding an extra layer of tension. A rare promotional card for the upcoming King of New York is included as well. The core mechanics stay the same – dice rolling, open drafting, player elimination, push‑your‑luck and take‑that abilities – but the fresh theme and variable powers give a visual and strategic boost. Perfect for fans of the original chaos who want more monster variety and cards, especially in 2‑6 player games lasting about 30 minutes. With a low complexity (weight 1.7) it’s quick to learn, yet the evolving powers keep each session feeling fresh.
