Get ready for epic-scale destruction with King of Tokyo: Origins! This standalone version of the classic King of Tokyo serves as a perfect entry point for anyone looking to start smashing cities without breaking the bank. The game retains the core gameplay you already know and love, but with a fresh twist: four brand-new monsters ready to wreak havoc, a clever mix of new power cards and some old favorites, energy cubes to manage your powers, and super stylish green dice with yellow icons. The goal is clear: be the first to accumulate 20 victory points or be the last monster standing after a brutal battle. Each turn, you roll six special dice, which can grant you points, energy, heal your wounds, or, of course, attack your rivals. You have up to three rolls to decide which dice to keep and which to re-roll, in a classic 'push your luck' move. If you're outside Tokyo, your attacks hit whoever is in the city. And if you are the King of Tokyo, get ready to dish out damage to everyone outside! But beware: in Tokyo, you cannot heal, and the only way out is to get hit by another monster. The energy you collect is used to buy power cards, which can change the game with permanent or temporary effects.
