About the game
What you do in a play session
Prepare to take command, Captain! In Star Trek: Five-Year Mission, you and your crew aren's just exploring the final frontier—you're fighting to keep the Enterprise in one piece. This is a cooperative dice-placement game where-your ability to manage crises under pressure determines whether you succeed or drift into the void.
Players work together to resolve a series of-alerts, ranging from blue (easy) to red (extreme danger). Your goal is to score enough points through-these alerts to meet your-mission-objective before five alerts fail or the ship is destroyed. The tension is-real: urgent events require resolution within a strict 3-minute window, forcing quick-thinking-and-fast-action-under-pressure.
One of the most engaging aspects is the-era-choice. You can command the original USS Enterprise or the advanced Enterprise-D, each bringing unique-crew-abilities-to-the-table. Managing your resources is vital, as injuries can lock-out-your-dice, ship damage can escalate difficulty, and the Prime Directive-will-always-test-your-resolve. It's a fast-paced,-high-stakes-experience that perfectly captures the-spirit-of-Star Trek-exploration-and-peril.
