About the game

What you do in a play session

Knight Moves is a two‑player reasoning duel where each competitor tries to get their marble to the opposite side of a 7×8 grid board. Each player starts with five wooden blocks that can be placed on any empty square, but only once per turn. On each move, you may choose to move one of your blocks like a knight in chess—two squares in one direction and one in the perpendicular—or pass your marble to any block that is a knight’s move away, including diagonally. The goal is simple: get your marble onto the opponent’s back row before they do. The game is quick, usually finishing in about ten minutes, and demands careful attention to positioning, as each block can serve as a springboard or a blockade. With no luck element, pure strategy reigns, while the direct interaction between the blocks creates tense moments and twists. If you enjoy logic games, chess, and spatial challenges, Knight Moves delivers a concise, sharp experience that can be played in cafés, parties, or quick board‑gaming sessions. Despite its simplicity, the game can be surprisingly deep, especially once you learn to anticipate your opponent’s moves and use the blocks optimally.
