The Kremlin: Revolution expansion brings 26 real Party notables—from Stalin to Dzerzhinsky—to the board and 33 intrigue cards that recount events from the Soviet Union’s early decade. Rather than creating a brand‑new game, the idea is to blend these pieces with the base game, replacing almost all of the Revolution Intrigue cards (except Lenin’s Testament and the Great Patriotic War). The result is a richer, historically immersive experience where each session can revolve around alliances, betrayals, and political decisions that shape the nation’s fate. Components are easy to set up: just place the notables on the board, distribute the intrigue cards, and follow the original Kremlin rules. The twist lies in the narrative: you feel the pressure of portraying iconic figures and dealing with real events, while still enjoying the negotiation and territory‑control mechanics that made the original so fun. If you’re already familiar with Kremlin or just starting to explore political games, this expansion offers an extra layer of strategy and context that can transform your gameplay. A 90‑minute game gives plenty of time for intrigue to unfold, though the duration can stretch a bit if you explore all the new character possibilities.
