Kyran: Master of the Mystics is for those who enjoy card games with a touch of strategy and a lot of unpredictability. The compulsory bidding and bluffing mechanics create a fun tension, especially in the final round with the card on your forehead. If you like mental challenges and games that require reading opponents, this is your game. The inclusion of Power Cards adds extra layers of strategy but might intimidate beginners.

About the game

What you do in a play session

Kyran: Master of the Mystics is a card game blending trick-taking, bluffing, and compulsory bidding, perfect for groups of 3 to 6 players. Inspired by the African Tarot (Whist 22), each round challenges participants to announce exactly how many tricks they think they’ll win. Here’s the twist: the total of all bids can never match the number of available tricks, ensuring someone always gets it wrong. And getting it wrong costs dearly—you lose Life Cards proportional to your mistake. The game starts with 7 cards and decreases until the final round, the Mystic round, where you play with a card on your forehead! Four Power Cards (like the Seal of Destiny and the Veil of the Void) add special effects to turn the tide. The goal is simple: be the last one standing with Life Cards to win. The game includes 36 Number Cards, 1 Mystic Card, 8 Power Cards, 30 Life Cards, and 7 rule cards. Get ready for a tense and twist-filled experience!
