About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for a magical adventure with Magic Dragons, where you'll need to be cunning to capture the right dragon clans and outsmart your opponents. This game, which has a trick-taking flavor but with a special twist, puts you in charge of managing multiple 'tricks' simultaneously. Each round, with a hand of seven cards, your goal is to predict and win between zero and four tricks. Each trick represents a dragon clan of a specific color, and whoever plays the highest dragon card on that clan takes the win. But beware! Your adversaries aren't fools and might have spell cards up their sleeves to freeze, destroy, or even suddenly change the color of a dragon clan in the blink of an eye. Unlike traditional trick-taking games where everyone plays for one trick simultaneously, in Magic Dragons you play one card at a time, being able to choose any active trick or even create a new one. Control of all tricks is determined only at the end of the round, when all players have emptied their hands. Scoring is calculated based on controlled clan cards and, of course, how well you matched your trick prediction. Cards left in hand at the end of the round cost points, so plan carefully! The game continues for multiple rounds, with the deck being reshuffled and new hands dealt each time, until one player reaches 40 points or more. It's a fun mix of strategy, bluffing, and a bit of luck with dragons!
