L.A.M.A. Party Edition is a fast‑paced, noisy card game perfect for anyone who loves short, risky rounds. Each round starts with six cards in every player's hand; the deck holds numbers 1‑6 (eight of each) and llama cards. The main goal is to dump all your cards before your opponents. To play, you must place on the discard pile a card that matches the number on the top card or is exactly one higher. If the top is a 6, you may play another 6 or a llama; if it’s a llama, you may play another llama or a 1. The Party edition adds “+” cards (e.g., 4+) that grant an immediate extra turn, and a pink llama that can be played on any card but is worth –20 points if left in your hand at round end. On a turn you may play a card, draw a new one, or quit, putting the remaining cards face‑down and taking no further actions that round. The round ends when someone empties their hand or all players quit. Then each distinct number left in hand gives you white tokens worth the card’s value, each llama gives a black token worth 10 points, and the pink llama yields a pink token worth 20 points (or –20 if still in hand). If you manage to play all cards, you may return one previously earned token to the supply, reducing your score. Rounds repeat until a player reaches 40 points or more; the player with the fewest points wins. The pink 20‑point tokens can flip the game dramatically in the final rounds, adding tension. With a light weight (1.04/5), about 20 minutes playtime, 2‑6 players, and a mix of hand management, ladder climbing, and matching, it’s a perfect party filler or quick interlude between heavier games.
