About the game
What you do in a play session
In Last Aurora, the post‑apocalyptic Arctic landscape opens up as a frozen wasteland where the radioactive dust from the Final War has turned everything to ice. Players take on the role of commanders of small survivor fleets, trying to recruit, gather resources, and upgrade their vessels to reach the last icebreaker ship, the Aurora, before the harsh winter swallows them. Gameplay blends three strong mechanics: hand management, where each card carries a cost and benefit; a race to reach the goal before others; and worker placement, allowing players to position units on strategic board locations to gain resources or block opponents. Each round demands quick decisions, as time is limited and competition is fierce. The post‑apocalyptic survival theme adds tension, while the Arctic setting creates a sense of isolation and urgency. The game supports 1‑4 players, runs 60‑90 minutes, and is rated medium complexity, requiring planning and attention to detail. A Portuguese translation is available but requires a full localization. For strategy fans who enjoy icy, high‑stakes races, Last Aurora delivers adrenaline and critical choices.
