About the game
What you do in a play session
Le Havre: The Inland Port brings the Le Havre experience to an exclusive two‑player duel. Each game lasts 12 rounds, and the goal is to finish the richest by adding up the value of built buildings and cash on hand. At the start of every round a set of predefined buildings enters the market. You may either purchase one of those buildings by paying money and/or resources from your warehouse, or activate the effect of a building you already own. Buildings are the engine: most let you transform resources, add or remove items from your depot, making warehouse management the core of the game. Because space is limited, you must combine actions to maximise capacity and avoid stuck resources. You can even use your opponent's buildings, but each use costs one franc. When a building goes unused for a round, it gains value – its effect can be used up to four times in later rounds – yet if it stays idle too long it must be sold for half price. A wheel, reminiscent of Ora et Labora, tracks this cycle. While sharing theme and a few elements with Le Havre and Ora et Labora, The Inland Port features its own mechanics that give a quick, tactical point‑action feel, perfect for fans of compact economic games. In about 30 minutes the board fills with resources, purchase decisions, and plenty of franc exchanges, all while trying to squeeze your opponent out of growth space. With a modest weight of 2.5/5, it’s ideal for short sessions with friends or as a warm‑up for heavier titles.
