About the game

What you do in a play session

Legend Academy: Deluxe Bundle gathers the base game's deluxe edition together with two thematic expansions – Arthurian Legends and Chinese Legends – all packed in a single box. Each expansion adds two new asymmetric characters with very distinct abilities. The Chinese expansion introduces Hua Mulan, an attack‑focused warrior who can reuse stamina cards in the same turn to create impressive combos, and she also has Wisdom cards that let her pull stamina from the discard pile. Bai Shuzhen is a demon trapped in a human body, able to transform into a snake and use movement cards that cover long straight‑line distances while manipulating enemies uniquely. The Arthurian expansion brings Morgana, a dark sorceress who toys with "the darkness within" and offers powerful magic cards, and Arthur, a fearless leader who can temporarily boost his attributes (Strength, Wisdom, Charisma, Endurance) for epic turns, helping his classmates while taking credit. The core game blends deck/bag/pool building, worker placement, multiple maps and storytelling, allowing each playthrough to tell a different tale as characters develop. A fully supported solo mode offers balanced challenges for solo players. Components are top‑notch: laminated cards, fold‑out boards, character miniatures, and plastic trays to keep expansions organized. Playtime ranges from 45 to 150 minutes, depending on player count (1‑4) and strategic depth. While the learning curve can feel steep at first, the character variety and tactical depth reward those who enjoy rich mechanics and immersive narratives. Perfect for fans of medieval fantasy, epic stories, and games that mix strategy with deck‑building.
