About the game
What you do in a play session
Forge your destiny in Call to Adventure! This game draws you into a character-driven fantasy narrative where 1-4 players compete to create the hero with the greatest destiny. You'll start with a unique origin card, giving your hero a backstory and two initial abilities. Each turn, you'll decide whether to acquire new trait cards that enhance your hero's capabilities or face a challenge. These challenges present branching paths; for instance, encountering the Thieves' Guild might lead you to train as a spy or a killer. Success in challenges hinges on rolling custom runes, with your existing abilities influencing how many you can cast. Failed challenges aren't the end; they offer experience points that can be used to overcome tougher obstacles or push through difficult situations. However, beware: while some negative experiences can shape your hero, too many tragedies can set them on a dark path. As your hero grows in power and experience, they'll face increasingly difficult trials and formidable adversaries, accumulating destiny points along the way. The player whose hero amasses the highest destiny score wins the game. Featuring a unique rune-rolling system and over 150 cards, Call to Adventure is a compelling experience for those who love storytelling, character development, and epic fantasy quests.
