About the game
Get ready to dive into the world of mystery and conspiracy with this cooperative deck-building game! In Legendary Encounters: The X-Files, you and your friends take on the roles of iconic agents like Mulder, Scully, Skinner, Doggett, or Reyes. The mission is clear: investigate the most bizarre X-Files and unravel the grand conspiracy lurking in the shadows. The game takes you through three 'seasons' of the show, covering the first nine TV seasons. Each agent starts with a basic deck, but with each turn, the conspiracy advances. A new card from the Conspiracy Deck is added to the 'Shadows', which could be an enemy, an unexpected event, a crucial informant, or a vital lead. Your goal is to use the cards in your hand to generate attack, recruit new agents for your deck, and activate special abilities. Attack is used to defeat enemies and reveal hidden cards in the Shadows, while recruit points allow you to add more powerful characters to your team at the Bureau. As your deck evolves and gets stronger, the challenges also increase, with tougher adversaries. Collaboration is essential to find leads and collect evidence that will take you to the conspiracy's 'End Game'. The more evidence, the greater your chances of success in the final confrontation. But beware! If an agent is defeated before the 'End Game' is revealed, the entire team loses. If the 'End Game' is already underway, the fight continues, as a few brave agents might still save the world. It's a race against time and a relentless conspiracy!
