About the game
What you do in a play session
In Loony Quest, you are an adventurer in Arkadia, a kingdom without an heir, where an epic tournament will decide who sits on the throne. Inspired by classic platform video games, this real-time dexterity game challenges you to navigate seven worlds full of surprises and dangers. Each round, players face a challenging level card. The objective is simple, but the execution... ah, that's the fun part! You need to study the map, mentally plan your route, and then draw on a transparent sheet the path your character would take, avoiding obstacles and collecting bonuses. But here's the catch: you don't draw directly on the level card, but on your personal sheet! Once time runs out (yes, there's a sand timer!), everyone overlays their transparent sheets onto the original card to see how well (or badly!) their lines align with the objectives. Hit an obstacle? Missed a bonus? Precision is everything! During the journey, you'll encounter everything: 2D and 3D levels, 'Loonies' monsters (and giant bosses!), special stages, and even penalties to throw at your opponents. The goal is to accumulate as many experience points as possible to prove you are the bravest adventurer and worthy of Arkadia's throne. Loony Quest takes the essence of drawing and dexterity games, elevating the experience with a vibrant theme and mechanics that make you feel like you're inside a video game.
