About the game
What you do in a play session
In the turbulent 1920s, still reeling from World War I, you and your friends find yourselves tangled in eerie mysteries: sudden shadows, unreadable letters and abrupt disappearances. "Lovecraft Letter" takes the classic Love Letter engine and injects it with Lovecraftian flavor. Besides the original 16 cards, a set of Insanity cards appears, each offering a regular effect and a special, more chaotic one. If an Insanity card lands in your discard pile you become "insane" for that round, allowing you to play either version of the card and dramatically expanding your tactical choices. The catch? At the start of each of your turns you perform a sanity check: draw as many cards as you have Insanity cards in play; drawing another Insanity card knocks you out of the round. Victory comes by either being the last player standing or holding the highest‑value card when the deck runs out. Each win awards a token indicating whether you triumphed sane or insane; collecting enough tokens of the same type ends the game. Cthulhu himself may surface as a powerful card that, if released at the right moment, can swing the outcome. Players choose to act as investigators thwarting dark schemes or as cultists embracing madness. With 5‑15 minute rounds for 2‑6 players, the game blends deduction, hand management and juicy "take‑that" moments that can flip the table in an instant. Perfect for fans of light horror, high interaction and endless replayability without heavy setup.

2 to 6 players, perfect for small to medium groups.
How long does a game take?
Usually between 5 and 15 minutes, depending on player count and sanity check outcomes.
What is the game's complexity level?
Very low – easy to learn rules with strategic depth in card choices.
What components are included in the box?
A 16‑card base deck, Insanity cards, sane/insane victory tokens, and a concise rulebook.
Do I need any extra material like translation sheets?
No, the game is ready to play out of the box; some fans create translation sheets for Portuguese speakers, but they’re optional.

It’s a light horror theme, great for fans of Lovecraftian mythos or anyone wanting a spooky twist without graphic content.
