About the game
What you do in a play session
Luxor's temple is packed with riches, but it also hides dangers that can turn an expedition into a nightmare. Luxor: The Mummy's Curse arrives as a modular expansion that can be slotted into the base game in countless ways, letting you pick which new twists to use. It contains four distinct modules: The Mummy, which awakens whenever anyone plays an Osiris card and moves forward based on the number of eyes on the card, putting adventurers into deep sleep; Equipment, which offers seven equipment cards from which each player selects five to build their starting hand, providing different opening strategies; New Treasures, which adds a fourth treasure type and fresh set‑collection rules; and Special Adventurers, which grant eight unique abilities, one per player, lasting the whole game. The expansion also adds the components needed for a five‑player game, expanding the group experience. The modular board remains, allowing the modules to be combined freely for ever‑changing challenges. Hand management becomes even more critical as equipment cards replace the standard movement cards and can be discarded later. The cursed mummy adds a risk element: anyone the mummy lands on or passes must be woken up by spending an activation, while the player controlling the mummy receives talisman tokens that give a one‑time special power. In short, The Mummy's Curse broadens the treasure‑race with more strategic variety, heightened player interaction, and a dash of Egyptian horror, all in about 45 minutes of play.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy

The expansion adds components for 2 to 5 players, assuming you already own the base game.
What’s the playing time?
Roughly 45 minutes, though it varies with the number of modules you include.
Do I need the base game?
Yes, The Mummy's Curse is an add‑on and cannot be played standalone.
Can the modules be mixed freely?
Absolutely – you can pick any combination of the four modules, or use them all together.
What new components are included?
New equipment cards, talisman tokens, mummy pieces, a fourth treasure type, and extra pieces for a fifth player.
Is it suitable for beginners?

The mummy can put adventurers to sleep, forcing you to spend activations to wake them, which raises the tension.
