About the game
Fire up the oven because Mamma Mia! puts you in charge of a frantic Italian kitchen! Designed by the legendary Uwe Rosenberg, this game turns the simple act of making pizzas into a cerebral challenge of timing and memory. The goal is straightforward: complete your pizza orders before your opponents, but the journey there is where the real fun lies. Each player starts with eight different orders, though you can only keep one in hand at a time. Throughout the game, you'll be playing ingredients (like pepperoni, mushrooms, pineapple — yes, the controversy! — green pepper, or olives) into a shared common stack.

The genius of the game lies in the discard pile. Once the draw deck is exhausted, the discard pile is flipped over, and cards are revealed one by one. If the revealed card is an order and there are enough ingredients accumulated in the stack to fill it, the owner of that order scores a point. But here is the strategic twist: if there aren't enough ingredients, you can spend cards from your own hand to complete the recipe and secure the point, or accept the loss and send the order to the bottom of your deck to try again later.

It's all about 'stocking' the kitchen. You want to add ingredients to the pile, but you must be careful not to overstock and accidentally help your opponent complete their pizza. You'll need a sharp memory to track what has already been played and plan the exact moment to drop your order into the mix. After three complete rounds of play, the player who has delivered the most pizzas wins the competition. It's a light, fast-paced card game with just the right amount of tension, perfect for those who want something strategic without a massive rulebook.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the game complex?
Not at all, it's very accessible! The rules are simple, but the strategy of knowing when to play each card provides the depth.
How long does a game last?
It's quite fast, usually taking about 30 minutes, making it a great 'filler' between longer games.
How many players is it for?
2 to 5 players. It works well in any configuration, though with more players, the ingredient pile becomes more unpredictable.
Do I need to know English to play?
No. Since the game primarily uses icons for ingredients and orders, there is zero language dependency.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes! It's a great way to practice memory and basic planning in a fun way.
