About the game
What you do in a play session
In "Mansions of Madness: The Silver Tablet", the story centers on the disappearance of Professor Ruth Wolcott, who has fled with the legendary Silver Tablet. The head of the Archaeology Department hires your team of investigators to locate the professor and retrieve the artifact before the university notices its absence. As with every Mansions of Madness title, you will wander through dark corridors, rooms filled with arcane symbols, and labs packed with dangerous experiments. The expansion adds a full scenario, providing both Keeper and Investigator setup sheets, 38 Exploration cards that reveal new locations, 5 Event cards that can swing the game's direction, 2 Keeper Action cards, 3 Objective cards that set specific goals, 6 Lock cards that block progress, and 4 Obstacle cards that introduce thematic challenges. All of this preserves the tense investigation and Lovecraftian horror feel the series is known for. The game remains cooperative: you must share clues, divide resources, and plan joint strategies to solve puzzles before time runs out. With a weight of 2.68 the rules are relatively light, but the dense narrative and deduction requirements keep the experience engaging. Perfect for 2‑5 players looking for 2‑3 hour sessions where suspense and a haunted‑mansion atmosphere take center stage. If you already enjoy the first edition or love mad‑science mystery themes, this expansion is a natural fit for your game nights.
