Get your party ready, because the darkness is trying to swallow everything once again! Massive Darkness: Dungeons of Shadowreach arrives to take the dungeon-crawling experience to a whole new level. Here, you and your friends step into the boots of six new Lightbringers, heroes with unique abilities who must descend into the depths of Shadowreach, a forgotten and perilous realm where mystery lurks around every corner. The goal is simple, but the execution is brutal: survive twisted caverns, annihilate hordes of monsters, and take down colossal bosses to save the realm.
This is a fully cooperative and standalone adventure, meaning you don't need other titles from the series to start playing. One of the biggest highlights is the lack of a game master; the system handles enemy AI and events, allowing everyone to focus on strategy and the brawl. With a modular board, every foray is different, forcing the group to constantly adapt to the terrain and the dangers ahead.
You'll need to manage your action points wisely to optimize movements and attacks, while rolling dice to decide if that critical hit will land or if you'll end up taking a nasty blow. The experience focuses on progression and tactical combat, blending the feeling of exploration with the adrenaline of facing enemies that seem impossible to defeat. If you love detailed miniatures, dark fantasy settings, and the feeling of character growth while facing relentless challenges, Shadowreach is your place. Gather your party, coordinate each hero's skills, and try not to become monster food while protecting the light against the forces of Darkness!
