About the game
What you do in a play session
Get your brain in gear and grab your eye patch, because Memoarrr! is here to test if you're a real pirate or just a clumsy amateur lost at sea! In this fast-paced memory game, you and your crew are racing to plunder precious treasures on Captain Goldfish's island. But there's a catch: the lava is rising, and you need to escape with pockets full of rubies before everything turns to ash.
The gameplay is straightforward but demands absolute focus. On your turn, you reveal location cards that must have a direct connection to the most recently revealed card, either through a specific animal or a landscape feature. If you make a mistake and flip a card that has no connection to the previous one, you're out for the round! The goal is to be the last pirate standing to claim the treasure.
The real magic happens because the cards don't change positions between rounds. This means the game builds on itself: every time the cards are flipped face down, you gain more intelligence about the board. As the game progresses, moves become bolder and more strategic. Looking for a challenge? There's an advanced layer where each animal comes with a special ability triggered by making a successful connection. It's the kind of game that starts with light laughter and ends with everyone shouting because someone forgot where the crab was hiding! It's the perfect quick filler that makes you feel like a genius—or a total scatterbrain—in just a few minutes.
