Mesos takes you back to the dawn of the Mesolithic, when small bands of hunter‑gatherers began to form more stable tribes. Each player leads one of these ancient groups, tasked with growing the community by recruiting members, securing food, building structures, and handling unpredictable events. Every round you place your totem pawn on the offer track; the order of the totems determines who picks first from a shared pool of character or building cards. The cards have diverse effects – some provide resources, others unlock special abilities, and some grant prestige points (PP) when built or when certain conditions are met. The game blends two core mechanics: Open Drafting, letting everyone see the same set of cards before choosing, and Set Collection, where assembling combos of characters and buildings yields PP. Playtime is short (20‑50 minutes) and the game scales from 2 to 5 players, with a light weight (2/5), making it perfect for a thematic session without a steep learning curve. The artwork evokes a prehistoric vibe, reinforcing the feeling of living in the stone‑age. At the end, the tribe with the most prestige points reigns supreme.
