About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready to travel back in time to Ancient China! In Xi'an Prestige, you aren't just a spectator; you are a master builder competing fiercely to win the Emperor's favor. Your goal is clear but far from easy: you must build the most stunning terracotta warriors history has ever seen. To achieve this, you'll need to manage resources with surgical precision, collecting mineral pigments, forging equipment, and overseeing every detail of the imperial mausoleum's construction.

The gameplay is fast-paced and highly strategic. On each turn, you must decide how to use the cards available in the open draft. Every card is a double-edged sword: they can be used to collect resources, move pieces, or even secure precious coins, which are scarce and highly contested. Time is of the essence, and the pressure is on, as money flows quickly and every choice can be costly. Beyond building warriors, you can also attempt to recruit influential historical figures to boost your prestige.

This is a duel of efficiency. Since cards have dual uses, you'll constantly face that classic dilemma: 'do I use this to get what I need now, or save it for a bigger move later?' When the deck finally runs out, the player who has accumulated the most prestige in the Emperor's eyes will be declared the winner. It's a game of resource management and quick decisions, perfect for those who enjoy agile card games that still demand sharp reasoning to avoid running out of coins mid-construction!
