About the game
What you do in a play session
Imagine if faster-than-light travel became a deadly nightmare for humanity. The solution? Send colossal factory ships to mine the cosmos in our stead. In Metallum, you step into the role of an elite corporate pilot in a frantic race to dominate a new and mysterious resource: Metallum. This substance is the key to human survival, but the Earth Government wants control while corporations crave the profit. The tension is palpable, and peace is just a facade for an imminent economic war.
This is a high-intensity strategic duel for two players. Over nine rounds, you must program your factory ship's behavior. The programming system is a puzzle: you select subroutines to move your ship, produce extractors, or perform other tasks. But watch out! Some actions are so powerful they can lock up your ship's systems, preventing you from reacting to your opponent's moves in time. It's a space chess match where timing is everything.
During the action phase, the programmed subroutines are executed, and you see both players' plans unfold. You'll need to spread your extractors across planets to secure production majority and, of course, throw a little 'wrench' into your rival's infrastructure if it boosts your bottom line. After nine rounds, the pilot who accumulated the most credits wins the title of the galaxy's greatest pilot. Prepare your ship, rev your engines, and good luck in the space gold rush!
