About the game

What you do in a play session

No need to be stuck at home to build your metropolis! Micro City (Second Edition) is the perfect game to carry in your bag, whether you're playing at home, on the train, or even on a plane. As the name suggests, it's a compact game that puts you in the shoes of an urban planner tasked with building the best city. Its beauty lies in its variety: with several game modes, challenges ranging from easy to difficult, and a board that changes with each game thanks to the random distribution of districts, no two games will be alike. Your main goal is to build structures, and for that, you'll need materials obtained through your actions. But watch out: time is short! You have a limited number of rounds to meet your goal, so every decision counts. In the second edition, the developers really outdid themselves with 2 brand-new game modes and other improvements. If you already enjoyed the solo version, you can now invite a friend to compete or even face cooperative challenges as a duo. Gameplay begins with a dice roll that helps you decide which card from your hand to play. Each card moves your builder through the city, allowing you to perform basic or advanced actions (if you have the right die!). At the end of the action, you gain benefits from the district where you landed. Just be careful: using a district consumes an investment token and temporarily blocks it. Planning is key to prevent your city from turning into chaos!
