Minihex was born as a tribute to the classic The Mini Quest, but it brings its own Brazilian flair. Players take on the role of heroes who must defeat the Evil threatening the world. To do so, they earn money by completing quests and buy equipment that boosts their abilities for the final showdown. The game can be played solo or with up to three players, and each session lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, making it perfect for quick play. Each game requires six six‑sided dice, five 8‑mm cubes, and miniatures with at least a 25‑mm base (one for the hero and one for the villain). The designer, Rômulo Machado, kept the material light but still leaves room for customization: different colors, styles, and fan‑made miniatures. The core mechanic revolves around dice rolls to move characters, where each roll determines how many movement points the hero can use that turn. The movement‑point system adds a strategic layer: you must plan each step to reach key locations before the Evil approaches. The aesthetic is very medieval, with map‑like details and adventure costumes. If you enjoy fast games that blend dice, miniatures, and a touch of movement strategy, Minihex will surprise you. It’s easy to learn but offers enough depth to keep the fun alive in every session. Plus, the ability to play solo or in a group makes it versatile for any gaming mood.
