About the game

What you do in a play session

Monopoly Crooked Cash takes the classic property‑building race and adds a layer of cheating and discovery. Mr. Monopoly hands each player a decoder that lets them spot fake cash and counterfeit Chance cards, while the board follows a streamlined version of the traditional Monopoly rules. On your turn you roll the dice (or spin) and move, possibly buying streets, collecting income, or stumbling upon counterfeit money. If you suspect another player, you can spend one of your limited accusation coins to challenge them; a correct call strips the opponent of the fake, a wrong call just wastes your coin. The market for buying and selling properties works as usual, but the presence of fake notes makes cash counting tense – in the end, the player with the most money, real or not, wins. The game ends when the last street is sold, keeping play time short (30‑90 minutes) and light, ideal for 2‑6 players. Components include the classic Monopoly tokens, both real and fake money, and accusation coins, all illustrated to emphasize the deception theme. With a weight of 1/5, Crooked Cash is easy to learn yet demands vigilance so you don’t fall for a bluff. It’s perfect for fans of quick economic games that sprinkle negotiation and deduction without the heaviness of more complex Monopoly editions.
