About the game
What you do in a play session
When the sun vanished and eternal night fell upon the world, chaos ensued. Scientists can't explain what happened, but one thing is certain: the creatures of the night – vampires, werewolves, and other horrors – have emerged from the shadows to claim the planet. In Nightfall, you take on the role of one of these dark beings in a fast-paced and furious deck-building combat. The game kicks off with a draft where players select cards for their personal decks and the common area, determining what will be available for purchase. Nightfall's main hook lies in its chaining mechanic: each card has a main color and two linking colors. By matching these colors with the previous card in the chain, you can string together a sequence of devastating actions. The more cards you chain, the more effects resolve in reverse order, dealing damage to opponents or activating abilities. The goal is to fill opponents' decks with wound cards, but beware: the more wounded you become, the more powerful your deck gets, creating a dangerous vicious cycle. Featuring unique player powers, direct combat, and amazing art, Nightfall offers an intense and strategic experience for those who enjoy card games with a dark and competitive edge. It's a game that demands planning and agility to master the shadows.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
What is the average playtime?
A game of Nightfall typically lasts around 45 minutes, making it quite fast for a deck-building game.
How many players can participate?
The game is designed for 2 to 5 players and works well across different player counts.
Is it a difficult game to learn?
Nightfall has moderate complexity. The basic rules are straightforward, but mastering the chaining strategies and the draft might take a few plays.
Does it require translation?
Yes, the game has significant text on its cards, and reading is essential for understanding actions and effects. A full translation is recommended.
Who is Nightfall recommended for?
It's ideal for players who enjoy competitive card games with direct combat, a horror/fantasy theme, and innovative deck-building mechanics.
What happens if I get too many wounds in my deck?
Paradoxically, the more wounds you have, the more cards your deck can draw and the more powerful it becomes, allowing for larger chains. It's a calculated risk!
Are the expansions necessary?
The base game already offers a solid experience. Expansions add more card variety and powers, but they aren't essential to start enjoying Nightfall.
