About the game

What you do in a play session

Numbsters is a 10‑minute solo game that puts you in the shoes of a tiny hungry monster trying to devour everything around it. You start with a stack of six cards plus the Mouth card, which represents the ultimate danger: if the Mouth reaches the top of the stack, you lose. Each card has a number and a special ability that can alter how the other cards behave. On your turn you draw a new card, place it on top of the stack, and decide whether to move one card to a different position or swap two cards. Then comes the bite phase: two consecutive cards (for example, 16 and 17) that are separated only by the Mouth can “squeeze” – the smaller number devours the larger, discarding it and starting a new turn. The active ability of the top card is used and then the card slides to the bottom of the stack, allowing new combinations. The goal is to reduce the stack to just one card plus the Mouth in your hand. If you can do that, you win. The game stands out for its simplicity and the need to think in numeric sequences and card order, creating a quick, addictive mental challenge. It’s perfect for fans of fast‑paced card games and numeric logic, and works anywhere because it requires no table or extra components beyond the printed deck.
