About the game
What you do in a play session
Ocean Labyrinth takes the classic gameplay of The aMAZEing Labyrinth down into the deep sea, blending a board that shifts each turn with an underwater theme full of fish, octopuses, and other marine critters. Each player holds a secret stack of cards showing the symbol they must reach; those symbols appear on the labyrinth tiles. At the start of a turn you pick up the extra tile sitting beside the board and push it into a row or column of your choice, sliding the tunnels and ejecting a tile that the next player will use. Then you move your pawn along the newly formed paths, trying to land on the required symbol. When you succeed you reveal the card and move on to the next objective. After completing all cards, the final challenge is to return to your starting corner. Ocean Labyrinth’s twist is the special‑effect tiles: the Pufferfish scares the next player into losing a turn, the Water Scooter grants an extra turn, and the Oxygen Tank forces you to retreat to any free corner. These surprise rules add extra spice, prompting quick decisions and funny moments. The game is quick (20‑30 minutes), plays 2‑4 players, and has a light weight (1.14/5), perfect for casual fun without heavy rules. Components are simple—paper/card tiles, pawns, and cards—but nicely illustrated to reinforce the underwater vibe. If you enjoy shifting mazes and a cute marine theme, Ocean Labyrinth is a solid way to spend an evening with family or friends.
